Craig and Nat Kipling, are the visionaries behind Gather Cafe.

19 years ago, they moved to Village of Alton and didn’t know how lucky they were when they stubbled upon the incredible community.

They were high school sweethearts and who followed each other to McMaster University for an education in Kinesiology.

Craig, an entrepreneur at heart… owner of a corporate ergonomic firm, Healthy Posture, as well as Woodstove Pools (Woodfired Pool Heaters, Woodfired Saunas and Woodfired Hot Tubs. A lover of both pizza and coffee, his dream was to one day open up a woodfired pizza shop.

Nat, has always had an interest in the human body and wellness. After some time in the corporate world, she fell in love with Osteopathy and went back to school to follow her passion to help others heal…. body, mind and spirit. A career that would allow her to keep closer to home while raising a young family and be of service to the community.

In 2015, they bought the building at the South East corner of Main and Queen in Alton for Headwaters Wellness. A space for healing and a wellness studio for yoga and meditation.

Things shifted in their lives in 2020 with the pandemic. This was when the vision for “Gather Cafe” was born and slowly came to life. They have created a space for people to come together to share good coffee, good eats, wood fired pizza and ice cream. The building is still shared with Headwaters Wellness …..bringing so much goodness to the community under one roof.
